Weaving a Web of Responsibilities

Kids may be facile users of technology, but do they have the necessary knowledge and skills to take best advantage of Web 2.0?

Today’s Web 2.0 environment requires that children learn a new set of skills and behaviors that focus on media literacy, internet safety, and ethical online behaviors.

Weaving a Web of Responsibilities is a conceptual framework for thinking about how we an teach these critical 21st Century skills that first appeared in the Summer 2007 issue of Threshold magazine.  It can help guide discussion and planning for administrators, teachers and parents as you tackle these important areas.
