Creative and Effective Work in Media Literacy
--You’re Invited to Apply or Nominate Someone You Know
Cable's Leaders in Learning Awards program honors educators, community leaders, administrators and/or policymakers, for demonstrations of vision, innovation, action, and/or transformation in K-12 education. One of the award categories recognizes leaders in the field of media literacy. Winners receive cash awards and a trip to Washington, DC, for a gala awards ceremony.
Media Smart Research Awards program is a component of Cable in the Classroom’s efforts to encourage the teaching and learning of media literacy in American schools and homes. By publicizing and supporting the research of emerging media literacy scholars, Cable in the Classroom aims to expand the knowledge base on the status and effectiveness of media literacy instruction.
