HBO's multi-part documentary takes a look at the severity of the obesity epidemic in the U.S. and its effects on our health care system. The program addresses topics such as the scope of the obesity problem and the serious health consequences of being overweight; scientific insights into how to lose weight and an exploration of what people need to change in their daily routine; and a special look at how this crisis affects our nation's children, the marketing practices of the food and beverage industry, and what government is doing, or not doing, to address the issues.

The project also provides screening kits, which include the complete DVD box set with companion discussion guides for teachers and students.  The screening kit quantities are limited and available on a first-come first-served basis.
