One Dance. One Chance. Competition
Ovation, television network devoted to arts culture, launched theOne Dance. One Chance. Competition ran from August 15 – December 1, 2011. The contest was open to all dance groups whose members are residents of the U.S. or District of Columbia, and at least 13 years of age or older as of time of entry. Entries consisted of dance groups with at least three (3) members and submission of a 1-3 minute video of a recent performance was required. All dance forms were acceptable.
With over 108 entries, 23 semi-finalists and close to 110,000 viewer votes, it all came down to one grand prize winning dance ensemble, five finalist groups and one Viewer’s Choice in Ovation’s “One Dance.
