Knowing the “3 Rs” is no longer enough to ensure kids graduate ready for college or careers. Increasingly employers and higher education are requiring applicants to have 21st century skills, like communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity: the 4 Cs. The Partnership for 21st Century Skills advocates going “above and beyond” the 3 Rs by “embracing the 4 Cs.”
What does that look like? Members (Cable in the Classroom is a founding member) of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills worked with award-winning children’s author/illustrator Peter H. Reynolds and FableVision to create an animated video that illustrates the clever and inspiring application of the 4Cs. Watch and enjoy, then think about how you, too, can go “above and beyond!”
